Bryghuset – Svendborg Dementia Town

”Bryghuset – Svendborg Dementia Town” is a large, well-run nursing home with 125 residences in the center of the town Svendborg.

In 2015 Svendborg City Council decided to turn Bryghuset into a dementia town, inspired by the dementia village De Hogeweyk in the Netherlands.

Svendborg City aspires to create a dementia-friendly society, where citizens with dementia and their relatives have opportunities to live a good life and participate in the life of the city.

The official opening of the Dementia Town was November 21, 2016

Opening hours in the Activity Centre

Mondays 10 am – 7 pm
Tuesdays 10 am – 3 pm
Wednesdays 10 am – 7 pm
Thursdays 10 am – 3 pm
Fridays 10 am – 3 pm

Opening hours in the Store

Monday through Friday 10:30 am – 2 pm

Opening hours in the Wellness Room:

By appointment with the individual hairdresser or podiatrist.
